My passion for criminal defense began in college when I was tasked with creating a resource guide to explain the legal system in Baltimore to people facing legal trouble. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and minors in psychology and sociology. I was Vice President of the American Criminal Justice Association at UNH.
I attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. During law school, I interned for the Honorable Halee F. Weinstein in District Court for Baltimore City, and learned the ins and outs of criminal law and procedure. I clerked for a personal injury/medical malpractice law firm, preparing pleadings and discovery. I also clerked for a Baltimore criminal defense law firm, where I worked on hundreds of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. I then interned for the Honorable Lynn Stewart Mays in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, and gained additional experience with misdemeanor and felony criminal matters with a view from the bench. I joined The Law Office of Mark G. Scheuerman, LLC in January, 2017, and focus on criminal defense and personal injury.
Born and raised in the Baltimore area, I enjoy spending my time outside of work with my family and pets, traveling, and volunteering with various animal rescue organizations around the area.
