Defense for Criminal Defense and Personal Injury Casesundefined

My passion for criminal defense began in college when I was tasked with creating a resource guide to explain the legal system in Baltimore to people facing legal trouble. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and minors in psychology and sociology. I was also Vice President of the American Criminal Justice Association at UNH.

I attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. During law school, I interned for the Honorable Halee F. Weinstein in District Court for Baltimore City, and learned the ins and outs of criminal law and procedure. I clerked for a personal injury/medical malpractice law firm, preparing pleadings and discovery. I also clerked for a Baltimore criminal defense law firm, where I worked on hundreds of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. I then interned for the Honorable Lynn Stewart Mays in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, and gained additional experience with misdemeanor and felony criminal matters with a view from the bench. While at UB, I also worked with the Innocence Project, representing a client who was wrongly serving a life sentence for murder. I joined The Law Office of Mark G. Scheuerman, LLC in January, 2017, and focus on criminal defense and personal injury. I also handle peace and protective orders.

Born and raised in the Baltimore area, I enjoy spending my time outside of work with my husband and our 2 dogs and cat. I also enjoy spending time outdoors – hiking and traveling, and also volunteering with various animal rescue organizations.

  • Great representation

“Mark made a very stressful circumstance a piece of cake. He accurately assessed my situation in our initial consult and what he predicted is exactly what happened ... Case dismissed. He was thorough, patient, knowledge, sincere and honest. While sitting in court i observed the behavior and demeanor of the other lawyers with their clients... No interaction or personal attention. I will recommend Mark anyone he can help. Very pleased”

  • I felt very at ease with Mark representing me.

“I am very pleased with the way in which Mark handled my case. I had a speeding ticket which was 29 miles over the speed limit. Mark was very prompt in returning my telephone call and explained what would happen once we got into court and also gave me very valuable information while at court and prior to going to court. I ended up receiving probation before judgment. My fine was reduced from $160 to $50 + $25.50 in court costs. I felt very at ease with Mark representing me and will definitely use him in the future. My family also wants his name and number for any future situations they may come across.”
